Ardeur. The State of My Life.
I’m writing a lot, hence my life is pretty boring to talk about. That’s the thing about not having another job; I don’t have time to think about writing because I’m actually writing.
I’m sad to see people leaving the campground. The snowbirds flock north for the summer, but all my friends will be back next winter, which makes me happy, politics aside. (Last night I got in two sentences in defense of my own beliefs, so I was proud of myself. That’s an achievement for me.)
Today is the release date of Ardeur, in which I have an essay: The Domestication of a Vampire Executioner. (Click to read a snippet, if you like.)
I did a guest blog post, Not In a Shy Way, at my favorite blog, Magical Musings. I hope you can stop by!
So what’s up with your life, lately? What’re you writing?

What’s going on in my life is I have a great guest blogger at Magical Musings today.
I envy you for writing. My husband’s family is coming over on Sunday, which means I have to clean. Ack! When I’m finished commenting here, I’m going to clean the frig.
Awwww, thanks, Edie! UGH about the cleaning. Good luck!
Still doing a boatload of writing on my current W.i.P. Have two more scenes to write and I’m fini. should top out between 60-65K words when all is said and done.
Blogging has slowed down to a crawl.
My blogging has slowed down to a crawl, too, G! WOW! I envy you! I love being almost done!
Good luck!
I love the snippet! It made me want to read an Anita Blake book right now! Plus, it made me happy I’m sitting here with a hair mask on my head instead of zombie goo.
Ugh, Robin! LOL! Zombie goo! *shudder*
Good point!
They’re leaving already?? Seems early. But then April is summer in AZ isn’t it. When do you leave?
They call it spring, Betsy, which amuses me, LOL! I think we’re staying until next March. I’m liking breathing (my asthma is near non-existent here) and we want to save up to upgrade. This camper is not a good on-the-road camper, we’ve learned.
Wow, good luck without AC!!
How exciting! I was wondering when this would come out. Congrats on the release of your essay and the guest blog post!
Thanks, Christina!
I’ve started work on my second manuscript, I’m workshopping my first.
Happy release day!
Oh fun, David! Good luck! You told me your first. It sounds awesome!
THanks!
I recently finished a story and began a new one, but I mucked things up in my life and the Muses went someplace else. Now I’m hoping they will forgive me and come back.
Ugh, Bevie! I’m sorry. I hope your life is un-mucked soon.
Them muses… very forgiving!
They are, the wonderful dears. They never stay away long, and when they come back we’re going to have lots of fun.
Congrats on the publication!
I’m not writing at all. It’s sad.
Um, LOL, you’re sorta busy at the moment, LOL! It’s understandable.
I’m still hammering away at the latest novel. Editor complaining I’m taking too long, etc., etc. But in spite of that- I’m having fun! Preparing the trip where we go looking for lost Confederate gold.
