We Need A Word.
I’ve decided to make up a word. Okay, actually, I’ve decided to open up my blog for ideas on making up a word. In other words, I want you to make up a word.
It’s a word like jealous or envy, but with no negative connotations. It’s all positive. It means, “Wow, you lucky duck! That’s awesome. I’m totally thrilled you have X, couldn’t be happier that you have X. And I really want X, too.”
Frenvy? (Friend+envy?) Naw.
Thrilledvy?
Oh boy.
You can see why I’m eliciting your help.
Any ideas for this word we need?

friend + angry/hungry = frengry?
hunger + friend = hungrend
joy + anger = janger
Or (and this is my fav) vile + luck = vuck, which rhymes with suck, or vucky which rhymes with sucky!
Isn’t combining words fun?
(Oh, and it has the side benefit of sounding like a rather Bad Word.)
Droppin’ the V-bomb on your frenemies, yeah…
Oh YES, good point!
I think the word is already in use but it has multiple meanings. It’s “sweet,” said with the right kind of emphasis.
Oh that’s a good one. Do you think it contains connotations of “I want that, too?”
“enveneration” = Envy + veneration?
I like, Avery!
Friend + Happy= Frappy
Friend + Ecstatic= Frecstatic (I’m SOOO FRECSTATIC for you!) Okay, I could do this all day. Which is why I’m going to stop now. Fun, though!
Oh, I love Frecstatic, Heather!
I like Frenvy. It’s simple and easy to remember. “I’m so frenzy of you. Give me some of that, please.”
It’s growing on me, too, Edie!
envelate. Envious while elated.
that’s all I’ve got, hon.
LOL, Elizabeth! It’s a good one!
Mine is quite like Elizabeth K’s — jealous + elated = jelated.
Or maybe jealous + fantastic = jeltastic!
Jeltastic! I love it, Ellie!
I’m so “buzzbombed” for you! You could also be filled with “buzzbombitude”.
Oh yes, that’s a cool one!
ooh, I like frestatic or frenvy.
Frelous?
Frelous! I like! All these good words!
How about voidful? Lacking hostility, anger, resentment – all those things that are attached to words such as jealousy, envy, etc. Just plain old, “I feel voidful for you!”
Now that works, Kath!
Envappy? Or did someone already offer that one?
I think that might be my favorite, Bernita!
Snatsy. It’s my son’s snafu word for snazzy. I use it all the time and it makes me happy.
Awww! That is cool, LOL!
My kids make up words all the time. Lately it’s backsass (backtalking and sassing). I used it in SCAR.
I’ll put it to my son when he gets back from his trip.
Backsass! Oh cool, Betsy! Perfect.
I do believe “sweet” has those connotations.
I don’t know about a WORD, but I’ve always liked, “You lucky BAStard” (particularly with a cockny accent.)
