Resolution #3: Keep Changing
My solution for everything, now, is to change. (I know I skipped number two. It’s a little personal. Not that I mind sharing it, but it just sounds… pretentious.) So on to number three.
If I keep doing the same thing, I’m going to get the same result. Every time I’m mad or dissatisfied or upset or I don’t like how something in my life is, I force myself to change something. Anything.
Because that’s the only hope for changing the result.
I’m proud of all the change I made in my life last year. I love my life, and it’s very close to my ideal, but I’m not satisfied yet.
I used to hate change, but now I’m addicted to it.
What would happen if, every day, I changed something, some little thing? Something that will take me closer to the life I want?
What would you like to change this year? What little thing can you change today, to help bring that about?

I agree that change is good. Ask my hairdresser; there aren’t many styles or colors I haven’t tried, lol.
On the other hand, doing what works is good also, which is how I’m beginning my New Year. Whenever my life feels all slip-shod, I review some missing denominators. After months and months of having no exercise routine (something I used to do religiously), today I returned to morning work-outs. Thus, utilizing the morning workout (a NYC Ballet workout DVD) has started my day off feeling balanced. It’s like visiting an old friend who always makes me feel better. Somehow it renews my optimism.
I’m not sure what I’d change. I need to think about that one.
I love that DVD, Kath! Aw man, I wonder what happened to it. I used to love to do that!
I had to get rid of a bunch of VHS tapes when I moved into my camper. I miss a couple of the yoga tapes.
They’re old friends. Yes, exactly.
Sometimes making a change in a set routine makes one feel deliciously wicked.
Wicked! I like that, for sure!
I would love to change my slovenly ways! It’s so darn easy for me to mess around when I get home from work. I want to be more disciplined with my writing.
Me too, Robin! Me too!
