Good Morning.
*blinks sleepily* I was up most of the night, and then when I finally slept, I dreamed of a large paper grocery bag dispensing advice. It was a proper oracle, with a face painted on it and everything.
I want a new blog design. Stacey Graham’s beautiful re-design put me in the mood. Any thoughts, suggestions? What worked for you in this blog design, and what totally didn’t?
It seems cluttery to me right now. And you know how I am about clutter.
I’m also coming up with a new blogging plan. When I had a life that was somewhat settled, I could be creative about thinking of life in new ways for a blog post every day. But now that I’m building a new life, it seems all my creativity goes into that, instead of blogging.
And I miss blogging.
So…
What would you like me to write about most? Which posts do you enjoy reading the most?

Aw, don’t ask me about design. One thing I love about JournalScape is the simplicity. It doesn’t tempt me to ponder design.
I need to ponder doing the blog with some regularity. Maybe not real often but at least regularly.
Being a stay-at-home I enjoy your tales of your new life and adventures. But most anything works. I’m pretty easy to please!
I love your newsletter, Eric! LOL. I really feel the same as you. I’m a stay-at-home, mostly, so my adventures are limited to oohing and aahing at lizards.
I’m trying to force myself out of the house more, though.
I love this blog design! I don’t think it’s cluttery at all. It goes with you new life, too.
I’d love to hear more about your day to day life at the camp site, and people at the camp ground.
Really? I do like the colors. And the background image. Maybe it just needs a sprucing up. There are a few bugs I’ve never gotten around to fixing.
There’s no one at the campground now! Like six or so rigs. But I will!
I love your design too. It’s bright and cheerful and fun. And it has a tiny bit of darkness and sharp lines too. (I just noticed that now.)
As for what you blog, I’m so bad at it with my personal blog, I’m not the right person to ask. I need to get back on my own schedule.
Okay, Edie. I’ll keep it for awhile longer. (Mostly ’cause I’m lazy.)
Natasha, I love all of your posts, especially the ones where you share your inner work and how you’re meeting the challenges that are arising in your brave, wonderful craft of writing. You are a fantastic blogger! I have learned a lot from reading your blog.
And FWIW, I LOVE your blog design, but I know how it is to want a change! I change my blog often (but I do love the design it has now and have no plans to change it in the near future).
Looking forward to reading more of your great posts!
Awww, thanks, Darcy! I love yours, too! Thanks for the suggestions!
And your design rocks!
You’ve gotta love dreams. The other night I dreamed that Charles & I lived in this really cute, little house, but it wasn’t insulated & we couldn’t keep it warm.
I can’t imagine posting daily to a blog. Good luck to you!
Oh how cute! Awww.
I used to post daily with no problem. I don’t know what happened.
Ooooooooooooooooh, her design is really pretty!!!!
Hmmmm . . . I like your posts about life living on the road/in a trailer. I find it interesting reading about.
I know, really? I love the orange, and her font in her header.
Your wish is my command, Erica!
Didn’t you just redesign it?
You know me. I’ll read anything you blog about. And I concur on your accounting of building a new life, etc., taking away all the creativity. In fact, your blog couldn’t have happened at a better time today because I’ve been silently ruminating over not sparing the time to write, while wondering why it’s been so hard to do. The answer: These are the last weeks before the Fall semester and I’ve been trying to square away things on the home front (painting, doing the stuff I put off). So, thanks for the answer to my lack of attending to my WIP. Guilt trip over.
That was last summer, Kath! LOL! (When I redesigned it.)
Awww, thanks! Yeah, it’s hard for me to be creative in more than one endeavor. It’s either writing or life, LOL…
Thanks for the shoutout, Sugar! =]
You know I love orange so this design is right up my alley as well. Will WordPress allow you to pop in a new banner to spruce it up a bit when you itchy?
BTW, I was just thinking about that treadmill desk. I was following a woman online who did just that while she wrote her WIP. Then again, I’d probably only do that if there were cupcakes at the end of the jog and the level was set to “meander.”
Of course, Stacey! WordPress will, but I’m not sure this design will. I think that is its problem! Maybe I should keep this, but tweak it considerably.
That is SO cool! I want one! And I definitely want the cupcakes at the end!
